Definitely no rubber in there. Just the adjusting cam and the end of the steel bush. I don't see how any rubber would fit tbh. It is all sitting on the adjusting cam. Like I said - crappy design.

BTW - mine is a 2015 model.

I was just looking back at the second photo you posted...

It looks like there is rememants of the rubber bush in the top left area next to the shaft. Can you remember if it was rubber or rubber like or even metal?

That shaft should be supported and kept centered by something other than the adjusting cam and the sproket.

I don't recall seeing anything rubber like. If there was ever something there, I'd expect to see remnants. I'll have a proper look once I pull it apart. I talked at length about it with Conq Aust and they didn't mention any rubber component - just that I'll need to replace the cam and bushes.

See my post of 21 Nov. 2016.  There should be 2 nylon bushes inside the tube. Regards E.C.
