Hi everyone

Greetings all round and thanks for sharing this Conqueror and “getting out there” communal space with us.

By way of introduction, we are Sydney-siders with a passion for camping and touring. Pretty much like everyone else here I imagine. Mostly long weekends but we try to get a longer, few weeks of touring in every year. Annual leave etc allowing.

I have to confess straight up that I am not yet a Conqueror owner. We are in the market for one having recently decided to retire the tent and box trailer and get a proper camper. We have swung from hard floor through the soft floors and back to hard floor then to unique hybrids like Conqueror, local Patriots and Echo. I think these have the best combination of space, storage and comfort etc.

The only thing holding our decision up is simply the inability to actually view the model we are looking for. We’ve seen all the models bar the UEV345. While we are really impressed with all the range it’s a struggle to fork out lots of cash for a camper sight unseen. Also considering the teasing hint of a new model just coming. But with little info what can you do? Hoping the local team can get their acts together on the info and demo front.

So here I am on the forum hoping to learn a bit, see what people think about their campers and hopefully minimise the risk of a "blind" purchase. Then, when we have one ….. to participate in the community. [smile]

So thanks again for having us. “Chat” soon.

Hi PB and SJ,

If you want I am Sydney based with a 345 if you cannot find another to look at. We looked through the 3 models you are plus more.

Pb and Sj,
Welcome to the forum and good luck with your search for the perfect camper.

The next round of Caravan & Camping Shows where you are likely to see the full range of Conqueror UEVs is the Rosehill Show commencing Saturday 9th April - Sunday 17th April 2016. Much earlier in the calendar is the Queanbeyan 4x4 Spectacular, which runs from 30th - 31st January, 2016. Not that far away. Conqueror will be at this show.

Alternatively, you could whip up the M1 to Newcastle and see Conqueror Leisure & Camping in Jesmond - 37 Blue Gum Rd, Jesmond NSW 2299.  We live in Canberra and travelled to Newcastle to view the Conqueror range, having first seen them at the Queanbeyan 4x4 show in 2012 & 2014.

Conqueror do get out 'there' and attend most major camping shows (on the east coast), especially the ones in and around Sydney, so there's plenty of opportunity to view the range in my opinion.

Looks like Lightning2012 has an offer for you to view their 345.

All the best in your search. Filbee56

Thanks heaps Simon and Sharon for the offer. Online communities never cease to amaze me with their generosity. I have PM'ed you.

Thanks for the welcome too Filbee. The drive up to Newcastle would be a great idea IF there were actually any 345s in stock in Australia. I have asked but alas they are all out and as far as I can work out, they aren't coming in soon. Only 390s and the bigger Commanders. We saw the 390 at the 4x4 show last month and have done the other shows (particularly Rosehill) to death over the years. Always loved the Conquerors in general so I suppose it's a leap of faith not specifically a blind leap [smile]

Fingers crossed on all fronts here. We would also consider second hand in the 390 and 345 ..  I noticed this is a pretty common topic in other threads too!! A little competition for the sellers cant hurt.

cheers all
PB
