HI All,

I have had a thought to stabilising the Commander while in transit and levelling van while camping. I have installed polyair bags into the inside of the spring coils of my Patrol, I can use them when the van is in tow to bring up the back of the vehicle, it also stiffens up the ride and there is less spring movement. How do you think this would go in the van as I would like to stop the swaying when fully loaded. You could also inflate and deflate to level the van on sloped camp sites. Before any asks my van has been loaded and packed properly it only happens with water in tank and Jerry can full of diesel.

Poly air bags would be great for leveling on site. I am not sure about using them in transit but who knows it might just be the ticket. I think its one of them things that until someone tries it we will never know. Could this void warranty and would this need a mod plate to be legal.
The other thing that I would be concerned about is if the air bags do the job while driving but make it sway worse and more severe more suddenly than it does now at a higher speed.
I am very curious to see where this goes.
Good luck I hope it works great on all accounts.

I have had Poly-Air bags in my Defender for several years now and have always found them to be a terrific product.

The stiffer you want your suspension the more air you put in. In turn the stiffer the suspension the less roll/sway.

The minimum amount of air you can run is 5psi, which is only to keep them inflated and won't effect the stock suspension at all.

Really can't see a down side.
