Announcement by Mr Peter Nasser - Managing Director, Conqueror Australia (dated Thursday 21 March, 2019). Copied from the ConquerorForum Facebook page.

Advice to Conqueror owners

Conqueror Australia understands there has been growing concern about the 240V system installed in Conqueror UEV trailers / campers. Namely, the black electrical panels manufactured and installed in South Africa by Conqueror International, from September 2015 to current date.

When your concerns were raised, Conqueror Australia requested an investigation by Fair Trading NSW.
Electrical inspectors from Fair Trading NSW conducted their investigation today (Thursday, 21 March 2019).

Fair Trading NSW has advised Conqueror Australia that owners with UEV trailers / campers :
a. not fitted with general purpose outlet (GPO) MUST ensure that the multi-plug switch (circuit breaker) is turned ‘off’ and left ‘off’; and
b. fitted with a GPO can continue using the multi-plug switch and the GPO as usual.

I have attached a picture for your reference below.

IMPORTANT: Fair Trading NSW inspectors advise that the combination residual current device (RCBO) (also known as RCD / circuit breaker) IS SAFE TO USE, so you can keep using your trailers and enjoy the outdoors!

However, Conqueror Australia will initiate an exchange programme for all RCBOs, installed by Conqueror International from September 2015 onwards, for RCBOs which meet current Australian compliance. During the exchange program, work will also be undertaken to ensure segregation of the 240v and 12v RCBOs / circuit breakers.

When Conqueror Australia have organised the RCBO exchange program we will advise you what to do next.

Conqueror Australia would like to remind all UEV owners not to conduct work on the 240v system in their trailers / campers themselves, but to engage a qualified electrician to carry out any electrical work.

Thank you

Conqueror Team

Advice to Conqueror Owners
This announcement is to provide clarification to yesterday’s (Thursday 21 March 2019) announcement on the ConquerorForum.com Facebook page.

Conqueror Australia understands there has been growing concern about the 240V system installed in Conqueror UEV trailers / campers. Namely, the black electrical panels manufactured and installed in South Africa by Conqueror International, from September 2015 to current date.

Conqueror Australia agree that an extra cable within the 240V system will be removed on all trailers / campers not fitted with an optional extra GPO.

This cable was installed at point of manufacture to provide a source of power for an optional extra GPO (internal or external), if requested by a customer. If there is no GPO fitted to your trailer / camper this cable will be removed during the RCBO Exchange Program, at no cost to owners.

Until this cable is removed, Conqueror owners with no GPO fitted to their units are to ensure that the multi-plug circuit breaker is set in the ‘OFF’ position. This will address safety concerns.

Owners with the optional extra GPO fitted can continue using the multi-plug circuit breaker and the GPO as usual but, will still need to participate in the RCBO Exchange Program.

The following work will be conducted during the RCBO Exchange Program at no cost to owners:
a. the main 240V RCBO, part number AD866J (Hager), will be removed and replaced with an equivalent, Australian compliant, RCBO;
b. segregation of the 240V and 12V circuit breakers; and
c. removal of unused, optional extra, GPO cable and multi-plug circuit breaker.

When Conqueror Australia has organised the RCBO Exchange Program we will advise you what to do next.

All models of Conqueror Australia trailer / campers built since September 2015 are captured by this program.

Conqueror owners are reminded that all electrical work should be undertaken by a qualified electrician.

Thank you
Team Conqueror

Just wanting to find out if anyone has made any progress on this issue with CA? I have spoken with PN and emailed through the details requested and have had nothing back despite several repeat request emails.

Mine is one of the effected trailers

Thanks

Hi all, we were down Newcastle way last week and teed up with Peter to have our investigated on our way through I can confirm that ours was booked in with a couple of weeks notice, the job was completed, tested and other jobs done in a couple of hours. It came with a compliance certificate and was free of charge. Peter and his team answered any questions that we had and I thank the team for a great job. Peter also contacted me since the job was done to check on our satisfaction. This has been a good news story, hopefully there will be many more good news stories. Hope this clears this up for everyone.

We want to know where we take our UEV490 to for service and warranty as it would seem Conqueror Aust. has no agent now. The web site is blank, just up and coming caravan and camping show. Have we been ripped off. Has Nasser done a runner. You email him or phone and you no reply.

Hello Paul&Trish,

I'm sure that West Coast Campers & Gear are still liable for any warranty work given that they would have sold you the 490.  But happy to stand corrected.
I stand corrected......Paul&Trish, I believe that you purchased your 490 from Challenge Camper Trailers, the previous WA Conqueror dealer. So apologies to WCC&G for the error.
You may need to contact Challenge and see how you go for warranty.

As for future service, any caravan service agent or mechanical workshop can do the work required, for example: brakes / bearings overhauled by a Brake Specialist.

Paint and panel work by a reputable panel beater.

National Luna fridge.............you are fortunate to have Dolium on your doorstep (Australian agent / importer for NL). They are wonderful to deal with.

If you have a heater by Webasto.....contact their agent in your location. Or, call Robert in Sydney (0433 691 134), he is the tech guy for Webasto Australia, and a damn good operator.  Just last week he stepped me through a reset for our Webasto heater.

If it's canvas work, any upholsterer can do repairs, etc. I just had a local upholsterer do some mods to our draft skirt in preparation for our next trip........yeah, 23 days and counting.

Peter Nasser hasn't done a runner, they have just returned from a successful show in Brisbane. In fact, I was speaking to him this afternoon about how to tackle some (DIY) work on our 490.

The web site is still available, I was looking at it this afternoon, and just this evening following your post. It was down for some maintenance mid-afternoon today (EST).

Ripped off..............not sure what you are getting at.

I truly hope you get it sorted. Cheers, Filbee56

It would seem that if we have warranty work done its up to us to pay for it. Nasser stuff up the wiring and we lost two batteries plus electrical work on the camper not safe. So much for the warranty it not worth the paper it was written on. Every person I meet that likes the camper I tell them not to deal with Peter Nasser at Conqueror Australia. Because of the lies and no after sales service. Just like your reply its bullshit your no better then Peter Nasser.

Interesting.
I sent an email to Conqueror some weeks back about the RCB in my out of warranty 2013 490 which was bought before Peter Nassar took over the company. Within two days I had an email reply and I now have the RCB replaced at no cost to me. Couldn’t ask for better service.
Can’t explain why you are not getting a response. However, if I were a dealer and was constantly being bad mouthed by a person I would be not inclined to respond either.
Just saying.

It would seem this is the Peter Nasser fan club forum so I will not be on here again.
