Just wondering if anyone has replaced their mattresses with some other setup? Anyone use a single piece foam mattress?

Sometimes I find putting the bed together (including putting on the mattress topper) and making up the bed a PITA. Okay for a few days stop, but a pain when you have to redo the bed everyday.

on our 440 we replaced the upper bed mattress with 2 single 4wd mats that just fold over when packed up, we found them a lot more comfortable and easier to set up but it is a tight fit to squeeze mattress's beside each other

I simply fold mine over and tie it to the front pillars.

I made a fitted sheet for it and this holds an eggshell topper mattress on top. I set up the bed space and push the top section forward and that is it. When you want to pack up you pull it up in the middle and tie it back up.

Again, I will put photos up when I get it back from the shop this week.

Cheers

Anthony

Thanks Anthony. Sounds interesting. A photo when you get back would be great.

We went to ikea and bought single bed mattresses that are really comfy and the covers zip off.  they fit into the 490 almost perfectly.

Cazdazoz,

Any chance you could post up some pics of the Ikea mattresses and how they fit in, I like the idea of a better mattress to sleep on???
Maybe also the sizes or an Ikea part #?
