Hi everyone!

The straps over the top of my trailer are gradually wearing through the green vinyl tarpaulin that protects the canvas. There are now a few holes that I'd like to patch up before any larger rips appear. Can anyone recommend how to do this? I think patches and glue / welding is going to work better than stitches..

Id really like the patches to match the tarp colour as closely possible.

I would be seeking the service and advice from a professional upholstery.
If you get this repair right it will last for years to come......but if you get it wrong you could be up for full replacement before you know it.

I would be looking for a reinforced strip of similar material as the cover, stitched and sealed to travel the full length of the strap.

Professional help is required. Plastic welding is a speacialist area and is what would be ideal. Gluing may not give the best results. Stitching and seam sealing may be the easiest option.

As you are in WA, give All About Canvas a call on 9248 1214 address is 6/71 Truganina Road Malaga WA.

They have done work on Conquerors before and will steer you in the right direction.

Is the cover material the same as the awnings? If it is, give me a PM I may have same spare material.

I bought a product called Tear aid, worked well for me. You can buy it at the pool shop in Mundaring or online
