Hi to all that take the time to read this post and it's my first....spent the day at the Perth camping show and I'm ever so glad I did my home work because we traveled 600 odd km with the intention of a camping trailer....hybrid maybe.
I'm by habit a researcher and when I've made up my mind I don't need to try before I buy...I've read every post here and understand conquerors weaknesses and with no disrespect I believe that every owner would be satisfied if the response was actioned with eagerness to solve any issue due to... one being quality control and the other failures.
Me being here is a testiment to a great product, ever so suited to our needs.
I'm sure that the team at Conqueror will take on board some of the frustrations and once dealt with they will take on the forums suggestion of improvements.
The night before the Pth show I bought a low km est 1000-1500km never been off road Commander with the intentions of chassis and suspension upgrades...has aircon, electric brakes, insulation so I'm ever so please to be a owner of one off the best equipped off road campers.
For the time being we will use it on our fishing trips...remote and sand around WA
Regards
Trev

Welcome to the Conqueror family, Trev & family. Did you check out the Kavango at the Perth Show? They look very similar (shape) to the Conqueror.

Not withstanding, I'm sure that you'll enjoy the layout of the Commander and its features. There are plenty of other owners in Perth, so touch base with them for support and maybe get togethers. Plus the many good mods on this Forum.

Safe and enjoyable travels and keep us posted on your camping trips.

Cheers Filbee56

Thx Filbee and sharky

Ran out of time at the show to see the Kavango but as mentioned we had only just purchased the Commander 12hrs before with confidence so I have no regrets after seeing most of what was there.

Did have one manufacturer say good luck with your purchase...we'll see you soon...tongue in cheek. My guess is that believes it not to be a true off roader. Might go back next year to remind him of his statement.

Looking forward to Wednesday trip to the remote south.

@ Littlei5 yep your correct in your assumption.

And meataxe picked it up today after travelling up from Bunbury today then of to Ellen Brook before heading out to the Goldfields and I've never had so many looks...kinda thought I might have something wrong with the Commander.

Still getting over being insulted at the entry off the camping show when the attendant asked for my seniors card...then having my 16 yr old asked are you grey nomads now...l looked at her mother who has been grey since she was 28 and said next time l'll walk in by myself [smile])

Love it, life is good when you can have a laugh

Might see you out there one day.

I've only ever seen a Conqueror once before when we were camping in Walpole a few years back, he had a new 490 and a two week old LandCruiser 70 dual cab, nearly drowned him with my drooling.

Heading off to Cowaramup on the school holidays.

Thanks Mel and Jrad
Appreciate the way the last owner looked after our commander including the upgrades he did...our win.

Not use to people having an extended look when you drive past...weird.

Packing for 5 days away to the remote south coast where the fishing is amazing and the sand dunes are huge...the highest in the Southern Hemisphere
