Could anyone tell me is there a electric brake system kit for the 2013 Commander that can be ordered from Conqueror HQ what size is the old drum 9 or 10 ?
I will email them , but sometimes they can be a little slow in responding and The forum has so much experience at hand !

All so in adelaide who might be the best people to talk to about extend our drawbar .
Thanks

Hi,
I am going to fit my Commander with electric brakes. Huntsman trailer spares on eBay have a 12inch electric brake kit for $560 delivered. It includes brakes, brake controller and a hitch from memory.

Cheers
Andrew

I've had my Commander converted to electric brakes, my memory is hazy on this, but I don't think it's a bolt on change.  We had to modify things to get them to bolt up... Sorry I can't give more detailed explanation.

Martins trailer parts in Perth made the conversion for my 2012 Commander.

They were then fitted by Opposite Lock Midland as part of the purchase deal we made with Simon.

The draw bar extension we used was a standard conqueror item that they have made to fit to the UEV models, Also courtesy of O.L.
There is a pic of it in the post of the mods I did to my Commander.

QLD conqueror got back to me with a quote of 8,000 fitted for the electic brakes ,A frame extenion with gas bottle holders !
To me it seems a lot of money for the work ! Or am I behind the times of pricing .
Electrical brakes around $500
Gas bottle rings $ 100
A frame and hitch $ $ 1000 maybe !
So that's 6,400 for Labour cost ?
I am sure they would do a great job and I would guess that might be with A engineers report but still a lot of money !
Anyway I have found someone in adelaide at trektech.com.au ( Paul ) who can do the lot !
What ever you want done or built he can do it this guy was very helpful and can do drawers in the back your car , bull bars , sidesteps which or are air tanks too , twin wheel carriers, showed me a swing down ladder of a roof rack yesterday it was unreal , his web page is crap and I told him , he said I am to busy to play with it lol , whatever you want he said only three guys work there !
His motto is if you have an idea he will bring it to life for you !
He is putting in a new stainless steel aluminium kitchen in our camper !
Already put the new fridge slide in for the other side ,where the bathroom sink was !
Will post pics later !

Will let you know the price and how it goes
But a big thank you to all who have taken the time to post
And I must say a big thank you to QLD conqueror looks like there on the ball now days after management change and get back to you
Makes it great to be apart of the conqueror club !

Has anyone in Queensland had a different hitch and electric brakes installed on a commander? If so where and roughly how much did it cost? This is on the list of things to do, just finding someone reputable and affordable.

I custom fitted an Ozhitch, but still have mechanical brakes.

Hi Mergs11

I had my stub axles replaced and extended with MUCH bigger ones, hubs changed to suit the tow vehicle,12 inch offroad electric brakes, an Alko offroad hitch and a slight draw bar strengthen and extension done by a guy named Pete at Caboolture tow bar and Trailer. Great workshop and he really knows his stuff.
