Decided to fit a mini-shelf to provide some additional support for the drinks / bar contents. As you can see, we don't use this compartment as it was designed for, preferring to use it for everyday household "stuff". And because the contents are shorter than wine bottle, they needed some support. Shelf is simply riveted into place.

We still enjoy our wine; however, it is decanted from a wine a bladder (Brown Bros) into small thermos style containers, and stored in the fridge.

Note to anyone interested in copying this idea, the shelf is not to interfere with the lid in the closed position. So, measure twice........

Hope you remember what's up there after you've had a few 🤪 hic hic

And on a more serious note just remember cask wines are very hard to get and only available after 6pm in Territory liquor outlets when you travel through central Australia

Cheers

Hello Dave and Tricia,
So true, could be a lethal "top shelf" cocktail. [smile]

Cask wine........yes, we have experienced the difficulty in purchasing cask wine in the Territory, and some parts of QLD. So I shall ensure that we have ample supply for our trip over.
We generally don't drink during the week, and then only limited over the weekend (sounds exciting - NOT, doctors orders). Therefore, 2x 4lt classic reds should see me across Australia.

Cheers, Filbee56
