Another issue with our 490. The plastic door catch on the door and external storage near the wheels are wearing out and dont hold the door securely. Hit our heads a few times.

Bought the largest spring loaded door catch from bunnings but they are way too short. Anyone knows where to source for a replacement part? Or if there are other better way to secure the doors when open?

Hi guys

Can you post a picture of the door catch you are talking about.

I have found suppliers for most things Conqueror in WA because we are so fare away from it all.

Cheers

Anthony

I'd say that Littlei5 is referring to these door catches/retainers.

Below the pantry for left hand rear storage door.

Different item, but is used to retain the main door (installed above the wheel arch).

Catch/retainer installed on the main door.

Thanks filbee. That's the catch i was having issue. Mine were pretty worn. Would be great if there is a replacement part or other solutions.

The closest I have come to the original Is the one pictured below. They are available through camperukonline.co.uk and are called Veneta Door Retainers. They are available in black.

I will be replacing mine with one of the second type.

Cheers
