I think you've hit the nail on the head Peter...

This is why Conqueror Australia cant get it done. I know just in 2012 there were 6 variations of the UEV 490 that were sold in Perth - it seems as though each one was changed as it was built.

Online would be good, but I don't think that this forum would have the ability to host such things. Perhaps the owners can reply to this and advise.

Other suggestion would be to do them and put on Facebook page, but this is controlled by CA so would need there input/approval.

Cheers

Anthony

Must be all those year renovating a house :-)

I wasn't thinking the forum would host video. Pop it on YouTube. Leave the link here in a sticky thread. That is, a thread that always sits on top of a topic. All you'd need is a bunch of standard spec headings (all in text), that we could fill in for our model. Stuff like axles, brakes, bearings, electrical, current or standard awning configs, bed sizes (of course), common problems (leaking) etc.

I might try it over the long weekend anyway. Just for fun.

The other thing that's missing is a list of trusted suppliers and repairers. We are spread across the country but it would be good to know where to go if you tear your tent (for those of us with big swathes of canvas and PVC) or bust something that's not in your area of expertise. Like this whole thread for me.

I think this is a fantastic idea Peter!

It may be possible for this forum to host the videos - but it doesn't appear as sophisticated as some other forums I am on (good in a way, limiting in others - although at least you can edit your posts here), have to wait for the owners to reply.

I agree about the list of suppliers/repairers as well. I quite often have people call or PM when they are in WA to get their trailer serviced, bits repaired or canvas fixed. Unfortunately, the failure of the Dealership network has really affected everyone except those close to Newcastle of Sumner Park (Conquer HQ). We live in hope that the new Distributorship Owne will get this up and running ASAP.

BTW - I have had a conversation with a couple of previous dealership Owners who have some spare parts laying around with a view to getting access to them for forum members to purchase. If I can find out what they have exactly, I could put a list up in the same spot if it works out.

Cheers

Anthony

I'd like to see a separate thread for modification.
And another suggestion, a check list of general items necessary for the UEV (small tool box and contents, hoses, levelling ramps, wheel jack, wheel brace, etc.)

I'm sure that we all have our favourite items that we take away. Actually, I have compiled a list of requirements for friends who have started from scratch for caravanning. This would be similar to items required for camping.

Food for thought. Filbee56
