Giday team,
Has any of the more adventurous taken a 490 through the Canning?

I would suggest don,t do it .Not suggesting the conqueror would not make it but all the trailers do is mess up the track up and hold up the more sensible travelers when they jack knife and get bogged . .NP strongly discourage it and the stations where the track passes though in the south refuse entry to trailers. Go there and experience  the Canning under the stars been there twice but would never take my beloved Conqueror down there. Cheers Troopy

suggest the same as troopy said, ditto for the Simpson, Nth Simpson, Madigan line etc etc, it will probably only end up in grief for you, your vehicle or someone else

Giday team,
As part of the planning process, we've just completed some reading on the Canning, has a little of everything.
I didn't know it had the dunes.

Quite right Garry, we've crossed the Simpson (Rig) and north (Madigan) all bob tail and we pass on the same advice regarding trailers and sand.

I threw the question out there thinking the Canning was a more difficult Binns Track over a longer distance or similar.
